American Angus Association’s CEO Allen Moczygemba has announced his departure from the breed organization effective May 15.

Moczygemba came to the Angus Association in December of 2015 and quickly began coordinating an effort for the association to complete and implement a strategic plan. In 2016 the Angus Board of Directors passed the Long-Range Strategic Plan, which Director of Communications Clint Mefford says Moczygemba will be most remembered for.

“Allen has been a dedicated servant to the organization and the breed,” says Mefford. “Skies the limit” he adds about Moczygemba’s future plans – which are unknown at this time.

Acting as interim CEO will be Chris Stallo who is the association’s Chief Operating Officer.

"Our member needs are first and foremost, and the American Angus Association is blessed to have many highly skilled, professional employees dedicated to carrying out the daily functions of the organization. Association members can expect no disruption in operations and service,” says Mefford.

The Angus Association is initiating the process to identify qualified candidates to become its new chief executive officer immediately.
