Compared to last week alfalfa, grass hay, ground and delivered hay and dehy alfalfa pellets sold steady. Light to moderate demand for all forage products. Some continue to buy hand and mouth and are not going to spend any more money than they have to before they ship cattle off to summer grass. Very windy weather this week in the trade area has dried the topsoil out a lot and most areas could use some moisture. Some field work has begun with dry fertilizer being applied. There is still quite a lot of large squares of alfalfa in a variety of quality in storage. All sales are dollars per ton FOB (freight on buyer) in the field or hay barn, unless otherwise noted.
